Aden, Sept. 8 (SANA) Yemen’s Information Minister Muammar al-Eryani has thanked Syrians for launching a social media campaign supporting Yemen and celebrating advances by Yemeni forces seeking to restore state institutions and end Houthi militia control.
Al-Eryani said on X that Syrians’ messages and images in traditional Yemeni attire reflected the deep ties between two peoples who had experienced repression and understood the value of freedom and national sovereignty.
The campaign began in Syria before spreading to Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries. Participants described it as a gesture of appreciation for Yemenis who celebrated the Syrian people’s revolutionary victory in December 2024.
The campaign coincides with advances by Yemeni forces on the al-Jawf and al-Bayda fronts, according to military spokesman Col. Majed al-Nazili.
