Beirut, Aug. 24 (SANA) Lebanese authorities announced Monday that two young men were killed in an Israeli strike targeting their motorcycle in Nabatieh province, southern Lebanon.
Lebanon’s National News Agency quoted authorities as saying ambulance crews recovered the bodies of two 17-year-olds from Deir al-Zahrani in the Doha Kfar Roummane area of Nabatieh after contact with them was lost Sunday. It was later established that an Israeli drone had targeted their motorcycle, killing them both.
Also in Nabatieh, the Israeli army carried out a powerful explosion in Kfartebnit Monday morning that was heard across several southern areas.
Israeli forces stationed in Khiam also blew up several houses in the town’s western neighborhood near al-Mabarrat schools, with successive explosions heard and smoke rising over the area.
An Israeli armored force advanced toward al-Khalleh between Haddatha and Haris, where two D9 bulldozers began leveling land amid the deployment of military vehicles.
Israeli occupation forces also destroyed infrastructure and several houses in Majdal Zoun in Tyre district, while Israeli warplanes flew at medium altitude over the Hermel highlands and northern Bekaa.
On Saturday, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes and artillery shelling using phosphorus munitions, alongside widespread demolitions targeting several villages and towns in southern Lebanon.
