Beirut, June 8 (SANA) Four Lebanese were killed on Monday in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting several towns and villages in southern Lebanon, the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported.
According to the agency, an airstrike hit a shelter in the town of Zifta in the Nabatieh district at dawn, killing four people. Additional strikes targeted areas in central Nabatieh, while intermittent artillery shelling also hit the city.
Israeli warplanes also carried out strikes on the towns of Yater and Safad al-Battikh in the Bint Jbeil district and opened heavy machine-gun fire toward the valleys of Wadi Saluki and Wadi al-Hujeir in southern Lebanon.
The report added that Israeli attacks intensified across southern Lebanon and Beirut’s southern suburbs on Sunday, with dozens of airstrikes and direct attacks causing casualties and material damage.
