Riyadh, Aug. 3 (SANA) Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud discussed during a phone call Sunday with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, the latest regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions.
In a post on the social media platform X, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said Prince Faisal reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to continuing its regional role in promoting security and stability in a way that serves the shared interests of the countries and peoples of the region.
Earlier Sunday, the foreign ministers of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Kuwait stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy and called for implementing the provisions of the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding to safeguard freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, support regional security and reduce tensions.
