Beirut, July 18 (SANA)– A Lebanese soldier was killed and two others were injured on Saturday as an explosion struck a military vehicle in Tyre city of southern Lebanon.
Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), quoting an army statement, said a suspicious object exploded near a military vehicle in the town of Mansouri, killing one soldier and injuring an officer and another soldier.
The relevant authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances and cause of the explosion.
On Wednesday, Lebanese army announced the death of one of its soldiers from wounds sustained in an earlier Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon.
