Manama, June 3 (SANA) The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force announced on Wednesday that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed several missiles and drones that targeted parts of the kingdom.
According to a statement carried by the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), air defense units successfully intercepted and destroyed three missiles and a number of hostile drones.
The statement said the deliberate targeting of civilian facilities and private property constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
The General Command affirmed that all military units and defense systems remain at the highest levels of readiness and preparedness to defend and protect the kingdom.
Several Gulf states have been subjected to drone attacks originating from Iran and Iraq since the outbreak of the US-Israeli-Iranian war in February.
