Beijing, May 25 (SANA) Pakistan and China signed 15 cooperation agreements on Monday spanning several sectors aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.
According to Pakistan’s state news agency, the agreements cover cooperation in the fields of the economy, environment and climate change, agriculture and food security, trade, media, science and technology, counterterrorism and education.
The agreements were signed during Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s official visit to China, where he held talks with Chinese Premier Li Qiang on bilateral relations and regional developments.
Sharif and Li also discussed diplomatic efforts to ease tensions between the United States and Iran, with the Pakistani premier praising Beijing’s support for ceasefire and mediation initiatives aimed at restoring regional stability.
