Beirut, April 24 (SANA) Lebanon’s Health Ministry said on Friday that the death toll from Israeli attacks on the country since March 2 has risen to 2,491, with 7,719 people wounded.
According to a statement issued by the ministry’s Emergency Operations Center and quoted by the Lebanese National News Agency, the figures reflect the cumulative toll of Israeli attacks across Lebanon since the beginning of the escalation.
Earlier on Friday, US President Donald Trump announced a three-week extension of the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel.
The extension follows an earlier 10-day ceasefire arrangement announced by Trump on the 16th of this month.
