Antalya, April 17 (SANA) The fifth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum is set to open on Friday in the Belek resort area of Antalya, Türkiye, under the theme “Mapping Tomorrow, Managing Uncertainties,” bringing together more than 20 heads of state and government, alongside a broad international delegation, to discuss global crises.
The forum, to be held from April 17 to 19 under the patronage of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the supervision of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will also include around 50 foreign ministers and representatives from 150 countries and international organizations. In total, more than 460 high-level participants are expected, including officials from international organizations, academics, and students.
Organizers said the forum aims to address growing “structural uncertainty” in international relations amid weakening traditional frameworks governing alliances, security, and cooperation.
According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, discussions will focus on key global and regional issues, including efforts to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, prospects for ending the Russia–Ukraine war, the humanitarian situation in Gaza and Lebanon, and reform of global governance institutions.
Side sessions will also examine political, economic, environmental, and technological challenges shaping the international system.
The Antalya Diplomacy Forum was launched in 2021, with last year’s edition held under the theme “Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World.”
