Abu Dhabi, Sept. 15 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa met on Tuesday with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi to discuss bilateral relations and ways to expand economic and development cooperation between Syria and the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen relations between the two countries, particularly in the economic and development sectors, and broaden opportunities for cooperation and partnerships to support development efforts and advance the shared interests of both countries and their peoples.

The talks also touched on the “2026 Arab Media Summit” and the issues addressed during the event.

President al-Sharaa and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also exchanged views on regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest, stressing the importance of continued coordination and joint efforts to support security and stability in the region.
