Riyadh, April 14 (SANA) Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi discussed regional developments and efforts to support security and stability with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau during a phone call on Monday.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the two sides reviewed issues of mutual interest and explored ways to strengthen strategic relations between the GCC and the United States, including activating joint working groups across various sectors.
Both officials emphasized the importance of close coordination and intensified joint efforts to bolster regional stability and advance shared interests, amid ongoing challenges facing the region.
Al-Budaiwi reaffirmed the GCC’s commitment to expanding its international partnerships, particularly with the United States. He said the talks come at a sensitive time marked by rapid political and security developments, underscoring the need for greater coordination and unified international positions to prevent further escalation.
