Washington, April 5 (SANA) U.S. President Donald Trump warned of severe consequences if no agreement is reached with Iran within 48 hours, as military tensions escalate across the Middle East.
In recent remarks, Trump warned of what he described as “great hell” if talks fail, as U.S. and Israeli strikes inside Iran reportedly expanded, including areas near the Bushehr nuclear power plant.
At the same time, attacks targeting Gulf states have intensified. Officials in the region, including Kuwait, have reported Iranian strikes affecting energy facilities and government infrastructure.
Trump also announced the rescue of a second crew member from a U.S. F-15 fighter jet that crashed in Iran, describing the operation as “one of the most daring” in U.S. military history.
Since late February, Iran has launched thousands of missiles and drones targeting multiple countries in the region, according to officials, while the conflict has also extended to Lebanon, where Hezbollah said it had struck an Israeli naval vessel off the coast.
The escalation has had economic repercussions, with oil prices rising sharply in March and European gas prices also increasing significantly, raising concerns about global economic pressures.
Meanwhile, Iran has tightened controls in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s key oil transit routes, allowing only what it described as non-hostile vessels to pass.
With the deadline approaching, tensions remain high as the region faces the risk of broader escalation.
