Occupied Jerusalem, April 3 (SANA) The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the decision of the Arab League’s extraordinary session condemning Israeli crimes and violations in occupied Jerusalem and its holy sites, as well as denouncing the Knesset’s recent law authorizing the execution of Palestinian prisoners.
In a statement, the ministry praised the resolution for calling on member states to list those responsible for enforcing the law on international and regional terrorism lists, suspend the Knesset’s participation in parliamentary bodies, and support fact-finding investigations into the treatment of Palestinian detainees.
The ministry also supported the resolution’s call to grant the International Committee of the Red Cross unrestricted access to Israeli detention centers.
It underscored that implementing the resolution will require concrete actions from Arab and Muslim countries, as well as the broader international community, with the goal of reversing discriminatory laws and ending Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem.
The Knesset approved the controversial execution law for Palestinian prisoners on March 30, drawing widespread condemnation from across the region and the international community.
