Türkiye condemns Israeli law allowing death penalty for Palestinian prisoners
Türkiye

Ankara, Apr. 1 (SANA) Türkiye has condemned a law approved by the Israeli Knesset allowing the execution of Palestinian prisoners, describing the measure as discriminatory and contrary to international law.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said the legislation applies exclusively to Palestinians and reflects an entrenched system of unequal treatment.

The ministry said the law represents a further escalation and warned it could deepen existing tensions.

It called on the international community, particularly the United Nations, to take action against “this unlawful and discriminatory measures”.

The legislation, approved on March 30, has drawn criticism across the region and internationally, amid concerns over its legal and humanitarian implications.
