Riyadh, March 30 (SANA) The Saudi Defense Ministry announced on Monday that its air defenses intercepted and destroyed five hostile drones and five ballistic missiles over the Eastern Province.
The Ministry’s Spokesman Turki al-Maliki said in a statement that the drones and missiles had been tracked and neutralized before reaching their targets.
On Sunday, Saudi air defenses also intercepted two ballistic missiles launched towards Riyadh and the Eastern Province.
These interceptions come amid ongoing missile and drone attacks across the Gulf launched from Iran. These attacks have been ongoing since late February amid the heightened U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran.
