Riyadh, March 23 (SANA) Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense said early Monday, in statements carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), that two ballistic missiles were launched toward the Riyadh region
SPA quoted Defense Ministry spokesperson Major General Turki al-Maliki as saying that “two ballistic missiles were launched toward Riyadh Region, one of which was intercepted, while the other fell in an unpopulated area”
In a separate statement carried by SPA, al-Maliki said Saudi air defenses intercepted and destroyed a drone in the skies over the eastern region of the country.
Since the start of the U.S.-Israeli-Iranian war on Feb. 28, Arab Gulf states have been subjected to attacks involving drones and ballistic missiles, which have caused material damage and human losses.
