Amman, March 24 (SANA) Ayman Safadi, Foreign Minister of Jordan, held two phone calls on Tuesday with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan and Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty to discuss regional escalation and ways to halt it.
According to Jordan News Agency, Safadi and Fidan discussed prospects for ending the dangerous escalation in the region and limiting its security, political and economic repercussions on stability. They also reviewed efforts to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza Strip and Israeli actions in the West Bank, calling for coordinated international efforts to stop them immediately.
In a separate call, Safadi and Abdelatty stressed the need to halt Iranian attacks on Arab countries, respect international law and state sovereignty, and avoid interference in internal affairs. They emphasized the importance of protecting Arab national security and strengthening joint Arab action to address shared challenges.
The ministers also discussed the situation in Lebanon, affirming support for its security, stability and sovereignty, and backing the government’s decision to place weapons under state control, while condemning Israeli attacks.
Several countries in the region, including Jordan, have faced Iranian missile and drone attacks since February 28, resulting in casualties and material damage.
