Bahrain Defense Command: 383 Aerial Threats Neutralized as Regional Conflict Intensifies

Manama, March 20 (SANA) The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) announced on Friday that its air defense systems have successfully intercepted and destroyed 141 missiles and 242 drones since the beginning of Iranian hostilities against the Kingdom’s territory on February 28.

In a statement carried by the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the General Command emphasized that the systematic use of ballistic missiles and suicide drones constitutes a blatant violation of International Humanitarian Law and the United Nations Charter. The military leadership further warned that these targeted strikes represent a direct threat to regional peace and security.

These latest figures come as part of a broader patterns of missile and drone attacks launched by Iran against several Arab and regional nations, including the Kingdom of Bahrain. The ongoing strikes have resulted in casualties and significant material damage to vital civilian and energy infrastructure.

The escalation in the Gulf coincides with the broader US-Israeli-Iranian war that erupted on the 28th of last month, pushing the region into a state of heightened military mobilization and threatening the stability of international maritime corridors.
