Beirut, March 16 (SANA) Five people were killed and seven others were wounded in Israeli airstrikes that hit the southern Lebanese towns of Majdal Selm and Aitit late Saturday, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
In a statement, the ministry said that an Israeli raid on Majdal Selm in the Marjayoun district resulted in the deaths of two civilians and the injury of four others. A separate strike on the town of Aitit in the Tyre district claimed the lives of three people and left three others wounded.
The ministry added that Israeli airstrikes carried out across several towns in southern Lebanon on Saturday left fatalities and multiple injuries.
