Trump says broader wave of military strikes on Iran expected soon

Washington, March 2 (SANA) – U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday that a broader wave of military strikes against Iran is expected to begin soon, suggesting that ongoing operations could continue for about four weeks.

In a phone interview with CNN, Trump stated that U.S. forces are delivering what he described as “strong blows” against Iran, adding that operations are proceeding according to plan and that Washington has not yet deployed its full military capabilities.

He indicated that the next phase of strikes would be wider in scope and could extend for roughly a month, noting that military progress was advancing slightly faster than initially scheduled.

Trump also claimed that joint U.S.–Israeli strikes had resulted in the deaths of dozens of Iranian leaders, saying the objective of the campaign was not only military pressure but also support for the Iranian people.

He reiterated that Iran’s nuclear program represents a central threat to regional security, arguing that diplomatic efforts had failed to achieve progress, leaving military action as the current option.

The United States and Israel have continued military operations against Iran since Saturday amid escalating regional tensions.
