Beirut, March 14 (SANA) – Eight people were killed on Saturday in airstrikes launched by Israeli occupation aircraft on the towns of Mifdoun and Qantara in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese National News Agency said that occupation aircraft committed a massacre in the town of Mifdoun, killing four civilians from the town of Taybeh, while an entire family consisting of a father, mother and two children was killed in an Israeli strike that targeted their home in the town of Qantara.
Israeli aircraft also carried out, over the past hours, an airstrike on the Haret Hreik area in Beirut’s southern suburb, in addition to a series of raids targeting the towns of Khiam and Blat, while Israeli artillery shelling struck a number of southern towns, including Qantara, Adaisseh, Yahmar al-Shaqif and Arnoun.
Beirut’s southern suburb and several areas in Lebanon have been subjected to intense Israeli bombardment since dawn on the second of this month, following rocket attacks launched by Hezbollah militia against Israeli sites.
