Beirut, March 14 (SANA) Twelve medical staff members were killed in an airstrike carried out by the Israeli forces yesterday, Friday, on a health center in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health stated in a release that the health workers were killed when the strike targeted a primary healthcare center in the town of Borj Qalaouiye, southern Lebanon. The victims included doctors, paramedics, and nurses who were on duty at the center, in addition to one health worker who was injured.
The Ministry condemned the Israeli attack on one of its centers within the nationwide primary healthcare network, describing the continued violent targeting of health workers as a violation of all international humanitarian laws.
The Ministry had previously reported that the total number of casualties from Israeli attacks on the country since March 2 has risen to 773 dead and 1,933 injured.
