Dubai, March 11 (SANA) Four people were injured after two drones crashed near Dubai International Airport on Wednesday, authorities said, adding that the incident did not disrupt airport operations.
The Dubai Media Office said in a statement posted on the social media platform X that two Ghanaian nationals and one Bangladeshi sustained minor injuries, while an Indian national was moderately injured.
Emergency response teams were dispatched to the site, and airport traffic continued to operate normally, officials said.
The incident came a day after UAE authorities reported a fire at an industrial zone in Abu Dhabi housing oil and energy facilities following an Iranian drone attack.
Regional tensions have escalated in recent weeks as Iran responds to the United States and Israeli strikes through missile and drone attacks on Israel and several countries in the Gulf.
