Riyadh, March 11 (SANA) – Saudi Ministry of Defense announced Wednesday that its air defenses intercepted and destroyed seven ballistic missiles and two drones launched toward targets in the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry’s official spokesman Turki al-Maliki said air defense systems intercepted six ballistic missiles targeting Prince Sultan Air Base, while another missile aimed at the Eastern Province was also destroyed.
In a separate statement, al-Maliki said air defenses also intercepted and destroyed two drones in the Hafar al-Batin area, less than a day after the ministry announced the destruction of two drones in the Empty Quarter (Rub’ al-Khali) region.
Iran has continued launching missile and drone attacks against several Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, causing casualties and infrastructure damage amid escalating regional tensions following the U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran.
