Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Kyodo News Agency

Tokyo, March 11 (SANA) – Japan’s Foreign Ministry announced Tuesday the evacuation of a second group of its nationals from several Middle Eastern countries as the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran continues and tensions escalate across the region.

According to Kyodo News Agency in Japan, a plane carrying 281 Japanese nationals, along with several people of other nationalities, departed from Riyadh and landed at Narita International Airport near Tokyo in recent hours.

The ministry said the group included individuals who had traveled overland from Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain, as well as Japanese residents in Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, a first group of 107 people had been evacuated to Japan from Oman on Sunday night.

Air travel across the Middle East has been widely disrupted as military strikes and counterattacks intensify in the region, prompting several countries to temporarily close or restrict parts of their airspace.
