Riyadh, March 5 (SANA) Saudi Arabia’s military said Wednesday that its air defenses intercepted and destroyed three cruise missiles southeast of Riyadh, amid a widening wave of regional attacks.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), ministry spokesperson Maj. Gen. Turki al-Malki said the missiles were intercepted outside the city of al-Kharj, noting that the operation was carried out with “high precision” to ensure the protection of civilians and infrastructure.
The attack comes as Iran continues launching missiles and drones at several Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, and Iraq, following the outbreak of fighting between the U.S. and Israel on one side and Iran on the other.
