Beirut, March 10(SANA) Israeli airstrikes on multiple towns in southern Lebanon killed 12 people and injured several others on Monday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported.
According to the National News Agency, seven were killed and two injured in Al–Numairiyah , Nabatieh district, while a strike in Choukine killed one and wounded eight. In Bint Jbeil district, two were killed and four injured in Tebnine, and two more were killed and eight wounded in Beit Lif.
The ministry also condemned the targeting of a Red Cross ambulance in Majdal Zoun, Tyre district, which left paramedics seriously injured. It urged international bodies to protect healthcare workers and enforce international humanitarian law.
Earlier Monday, strikes on Jwaya and Tirdba had left 16 dead and 40 injured. The escalation follows Hezbollah missile attacks on Israeli positions since last Monday, which were met with Israeli air raids on southern towns and Beirut suburbs.
