Ankara, March 5 (SANA)–Türkiye summoned Iran’s ambassador to Ankara, Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh, on Wednesday after an Iranian missile entered Turkish airspace, diplomatic officials stated.
The ambassador was informed that Ankara is concerned about the incident, according to officials speaking to the state-run Anadolu Agency.
Turkey’s Defense Ministry earlier said that a NATO air defense system in the eastern Mediterranean shot down the missile, which Iran had launched towards Turkish territory. No injuries were reported.
