Kuwait City, March 2 (SANA) Two workers were injured after debris fell at the Al-Ahmadi Refinery early Monday during Iranian missile and drone attacks, a company spokesperson said.
Ghanem al-Otaibi, spokesperson for Kuwait National Petroleum Company, said refinery operations were not affected and no disruptions were recorded.
In a statement reported by the Kuwait News Agency, he said precautionary measures were taken to ensure the safety of personnel and facilities, which sustained no material damage.
Kuwait’s Health Ministry said Sunday that one person was killed and 20 others, all foreign nationals, were injured in the Iranian attacks.
Since Saturday, Gulf Cooperation Council member states, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman, as well as Jordan, have faced a series of Iranian missile and drone attacks. The assaults followed a joint U.S.-Israeli strike on targets inside Iran and have resulted in deaths, injuries and property damage.
