Cairo, Mar. 1 (SANA) – The League of Arab States and the Muslim World League on Sunday condemned Iranian attacks targeting the Port of Duqm in southeastern Oman, describing them as a blatant violation of international and humanitarian law.
Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit said in a statement that launching large numbers of missiles and drones against civilian facilities in several Arab countries represents an unacceptable and condemnable policy that cannot be justified under any pretext, warning of the escalation’s consequences for regional security and stability.
The Muslim World League likewise denounced the attack on Oman as a flagrant act of aggression that violates religious values as well as international and humanitarian norms, stressing the need for international action in response.
Earlier Sunday, an Omani security source said the Port of Duqm, located on the country’s southeastern coast, was targeted by two drones. One struck temporary workers’ housing, injuring a worker, while debris from the second drone fell near fuel storage tanks without causing casualties or material damage.
