Muscat, March 1 (SANA) Omani authorities said two drones targeted Duqm Port on the country’s southeastern coast on Sunday, marking the first such incident in the Sultanate.
The Oman News Agency, citing a security source, reported that one drone struck a mobile workers’ accommodation unit inside the port, injuring one worker. Debris from the second drone fell near fuel tanks without causing casualties or additional damage.
The Omani government condemned the attack and said it would take necessary measures to protect the country’s security and safeguard its facilities.
The incident comes as several countries in the region, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait and Jordan, have faced missile and drone attacks from Iran since Saturday morning, causing injuries and material damage.
