New York, Feb. 24 (SANA) U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran on Monday of serious consequences if it fails to reach a nuclear agreement with Washington, saying the response would be “severe.”
In a social media post, Trump said failure to secure a deal over Iran’s nuclear ambitions would mean “a very bad day for the country and, unfortunately, for its people.”
He said he retained final authority over any potential military action but added that he preferred a diplomatic solution.
Trump’s remarks come as tensions between Washington and Tehran rise amid uncertainty over the future of nuclear negotiations.
The renewed rhetoric underscores ongoing strains in U.S.-Iran relations as diplomatic efforts to revive or reshape an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program continue amid regional and international concerns.
