Three Qatari Diplomats Killed, Two Injured in Traffic Accident in Sharm El-Sheikh

Three Qatari diplomats were killed and two others injured in a traffic accident in Sharm El-Sheikh, South Sinai, while on official duty, the Qatari Embassy in Cairo announced.

“The embassy is coordinating with Egyptian authorities to investigate the crash and arrange the repatriation of the deceased and injured to Doha. The two injured diplomats are receiving treatment at Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital,” the embassy said in a statement issued on Sunday.

Egyptian media reported that the accident was caused by a mechanical failure in the vehicle, which was carrying five Qatari nationals and an Egyptian driver.
