The Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” has announced its approval of the initiative proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, aimed at ending the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.
The movement affirmed its readiness to release all Israeli prisoners, both living and deceased, in accordance with the exchange framework outlined in Trump’s plan.
Hamas clarified that the decision was made following extensive internal consultations and discussions with other Palestinian factions.
The movement declared its immediate willingness to enter negotiations through mediators to discuss the details, while calling for the necessary field conditions to facilitate the exchange process.
Furthermore, Hamas reiterated its approval to transfer the administration of Gaza to an independent Palestinian technocratic body, based upon national consensus and supported by Arab and Islamic nations.
Regarding other issues mentioned in the U.S. proposal, Hamas emphasized that the future of Gaza and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people must be addressed within a unified national framework, based on relevant international laws and resolutions.
The movement confirmed its active and responsible participation in such a framework.
Hamas concluded its statement by expressing appreciation for Arab, Islamic and international efforts, as well as President Trump’s initiative aimed at ending the war, facilitating prisoner exchange, delivering humanitarian aid and rejecting both the occupation of Gaza and the displacement of its people.
