UNRWA Chief: Israel kills 100 people daily amid deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza

Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), stated that Israel is killing approximately 100 Palestinians each day in Gaza as the humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate.

“On average, 100 people are killed daily in Gaza due to Israeli military operations or shootings at humanitarian food distribution points. Others die from hunger or lack of medical care,” In a post on the platform X, Lazzarini said on Wednesday.

He emphasized the urgent need to document violations, amplify the suffering of Palestinians, and called for an immediate ceasefire and accountability for those responsible for the crimes.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been committing acts of killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement in Gaza, disregarding international appeals and rulings from the International Court of Justice to halt hostilities.
