President Ahmad al-Sharaa has arrived in New York for a landmark trip to attend the United Nations General Assembly, the first Syrian head of state to do so since 1967.
Al-Sharaa is leading a high-level delegation that includes several ministers and senior officials.
The visit marks a major diplomatic moment for Damascus as it returns to the UN stage at the head-of-state level for the first time after nearly six decades.
