Turkey: Israeli offensive on Gaza marks a new “bloody phase” of Genocidal Crimes

Ankara – SANA

Head of Communications at the Turkish Presidency, Burhanettin Duran, condemned the expansion of Israel’s military offensive in the Gaza Strip, describing it as a bloody phase of genocide and crimes against humanity that blatantly disregards the fundamental principles of international law.

On Turkish social media platform NSosyal, Duran said : “Israel’s attacks, which have claimed the lives of thousands of Palestinians and displaced hundreds of thousands more, have pushed the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza to an unbearable level.”

He called on the international community and the UN Security Council to take immediate action to secure a ceasefire and hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its crimes against the Palestinian people. Duran reaffirmed Turkey’s support for all initiatives aimed at prosecuting those responsible for the aggression and advancing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
