New York, SANA- Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi condemned the Israeli attack on Qatar during an emergency session of the UN Security Council, stressing that the Israeli government is committing systematic violations of state sovereignty and fueling chaos in the region.
“The Israeli government is a rogue government, stained with the blood of innocents, rooted in extremism and hatred, disregarding international law and not deterred by humanitarian values. It sees itself above the law and relies on brutality to impose a racist ideology and achieve expansionist goals that threaten peace and security in the region and the world,” Safadi was quoted as saying by the Jordanian news agency Petra in his speech during the UN Security Council’s emergency session to discuss the Israeli attack on Qatar.
Safadi added: “Israel occupies more Syrian territory, creates sedition aimed at plunging Syria into chaos and conflict, strikes at the stability of Lebanon, and in another blatant violation of international law and dangerous escalation, violates the sovereignty of the sisterly State of Qatar, and launches a cowardly attack on its capital, Doha.”
He reiterated his condemnation of Israeli violations against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, its use of starvation as a weapon, its transformation of Gaza into a death zone for humanity and human values, and its continued genocide there.
