Amsterdam, Aug. 28 (SANA) The Netherlands welcomed Friday the agreement on integrating the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into Syrian state institutions, describing it as an important step toward a united, stable and sovereign Syria.
“The Netherlands welcomes the agreement on the integration of the SDF into Syria’s state institutions. An important step towards a united, stable and sovereign Syria,” the Dutch Foreign Ministry said Friday in a post on X.
“Full implementation will be key to an inclusive future, safeguarding the rights of all Syrians and creating conditions for safe, voluntary and dignified returns of refugees,” it added.
Mazloum Abdi announced Tuesday the end of the SDF’s mission and its dissolution as an independent military force following the completion of its integration into Syrian army brigades.
Abdi said the move marked a transition toward a new phase centered on peace, stability and building a new Syria.
