Riyadh/Cairo, July.11 (SANA) Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar affirmed the importance of supporting mediation efforts and the resumption of US-Iran talks as part of broader efforts to achieve peaceful solutions to regional challenges.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the two ministers discussed, during a telephone conversation on Saturday, the latest developments amid the ongoing regional escalation. They emphasized the need to de-escalate tensions and intensify diplomatic efforts to achieve comprehensive and peaceful solutions that enhance regional and international security and stability.

The talks came after Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation on Friday with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during which they reviewed regional and international developments and efforts aimed at promoting peace and security across the region.

Earlier on Saturday, Prince Faisal also discussed current regional developments with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a separate phone call.
