Amnesty says Israel using starvation as weapon in Gaza

London, SANA-Amnesty International  organization  said Monday that Israel is pursuing a “deliberate and systematic policy of starvation” in Gaza Strip, accusing it of destroying the health, safety and social fabric of Palestinian life.

In a report published on its website, Amnesty said the findings were based on interviews with 19 displaced Palestinians and two medical workers treating malnourished children. The group alleged that Israel’s actions amount to a “deliberate starvation campaign” in the occupied territory.

The organization said testimonies indicate that Israeli plans and policies over the past 22 months have intentionally imposed conditions leading to “the physical destruction” of Palestinians in Gaza, which it described as part of an ongoing genocide.
