Washington, March 6 (SANA) The United States military has sunk more than 30 Iranian vessels during ongoing operations against Iran, a U.S. military official said, as Iranian missile and drone attacks have sharply declined.
Speaking at a press conference, the United States Central Command said U.S. forces recently struck an Iranian drone carrier roughly the size of a World War II-era aircraft carrier.
CENTCOM spokesperson David Cooper said Iranian ballistic missile attacks have dropped by about 90% compared with the first day of the war, while drone attacks have decreased by around 83%, according to Agence France-Presse.
He added that U.S. operations are not limited to destroying missiles but also aim to systematically dismantle Iran’s ballistic missile production infrastructure to prevent it from being rebuilt.
Since Feb. 28, Israel and the United States have carried out strikes against Iran, which has responded with missile and drone attacks targeting several countries in the region.
