Damascus, SANA-The Acting Minister of Health in the Syrian caretaker government Dr. Maher al-Sharaa discussed with Italian Ambassador Stefano Ravagnan ways to enhance joint cooperation.
During the meeting held at the Ministry building in Damascus on Sunday, Dr. al-Sharaa said that the health sector in Syria needs to be restored as a result of the war and previous administrative corruption.
He pointed out to the need to establish health centers and rehabilitate some of them, appreciating the efforts of the Italian government in supporting Syria during the current stage.
For his part, the Italian ambassador indicated that the support will not be limited to the current stage, but lasted in the future to include multiple services.
