Kinshasa, July 18, (SANA) Confirmed Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of the Congo have risen to 2,181, with the death toll reaching 864, authorities said on Saturday.
According to Reuters, the authorities said the outbreak has now recorded 2,181 confirmed infections, including 864 deaths.
The update comes days after the World Health Organization warned that the outbreak, caused by the Bundibugyo strain of the Ebola virus, is spreading at its fastest recorded pace, with many new infections linked to unknown chains of transmission.
