Idlib, March 2 (SANA) Ten health centers in the southern Idlib countryside are under restoration in cooperation with UNICEF after they were damaged and put out of service by shelling by the deposed regime, local health officials said.
The head of the engineering department at the Idlib Health Directorate told SANA during a field tour Sunday that rehabilitation work is underway at three of the facilities, with efforts focused on returning them to full operation as soon as possible.
Residents said the lack of functioning medical points, health centers or nearby hospitals had caused severe hardship, particularly for families returning from displacement camps.
Health officials said the renovations are part of broader efforts to improve access to healthcare services in remote and underserved areas and to address gaps in medical care caused by years of war.
