Damascus, Feb. 1 (SANA) The scientific conference “Damascus Health Days 2026” opened on Saturday to enhance medical knowledge, improve healthcare performance and support scientific research across a wide range of medical specialties.
The five-day conference, organized by the Ministry of Health, brings together doctors, medical staff and specialists to discuss major diseases and ways to strengthen healthcare delivery through improved performance and research. Key sessions focus on reducing medical and surgical errors, enhancing patient safety, and clarifying ethical, legal and professional responsibility.
Participants are also examining mechanisms for handling medical errors, protecting the rights of both doctors and patients, and updating treatment protocols in line with evidence-based medicine.
