Specialized teams from the Syrian Civil Defense (White Helmets), in coordination with the National Commission for the Missing, responded Saturday to a report of human remains discovered in an archaeological village in the eastern countryside of Hama.
The Civil Defense stated that its war remnants removal team conducted a site survey to ensure the absence of landmines or unexploded ordnance before search teams began their operations.
It noted that the specialized team collected exposed skeletal remains believed to belong to approximately four unidentified individuals, based on initial assessments.
The Civil Defense urged residents to avoid approaching or disturbing sites containing human remains or mass graves, emphasizing the importance of reporting such findings to Syrian Civil Defense centers or responsible authorities, and refraining from any interference under any circumstances.
