Damascus, Sept. 27 (SANA) Minister of Education Mohammad Abdul Rahman Turko met Sunday with Turkish Ambassador to Syria Nuh Yılmaz and an accompanying delegation to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation, vocational training initiatives, and technical exchanges.
The meeting, held at the Ministry of Education in Damascus, focused on leveraging Turkish expertise to modernize technical and vocational education systems, upgrade institutional infrastructure, and align educational outcomes with labor market requirements.
Minister Turko stressed the importance of broadening joint programs with Türkiye to modernize national learning facilities and enhance instructional services for students across Syria.
Ambassador Yilmaz extended an official invitation to Turko to visit Türkiye to observe its educational model firsthand and establish operational frameworks for future academic exchange.
The discussions build upon established bilateral educational channels, following earlier high-level talks in September 2025 between Minister Turko and Turkish Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin on curriculum development and capacity-building initiatives.
