Syria’s Higher Education Minister discusses cybersecurity cooperation with UK Firm

Damascus, Jan. 20 (SANA) Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Marwan al-Halabi met Monday with a delegation from the British risk management firm Control Risks to discuss potential cooperation in the fields of cybersecurity and information technology, the ministry said.

Talks focused on strengthening cooperation in cybersecurity, including the possible incorporation of artificial intelligence and cyber security topics into university curricula. The discussions also addressed ways to support the ministry’s efforts to counter cyberattacks and safeguard sensitive data.

Control Risks is a UK-based international consultancy specializing in security and strategic risk management, including cybersecurity, cybercrime prevention, and digital protection. The firm provides intelligence-led analysis to assist governments and institutions in building resilient and secure operating environments.
