Damascus, Sept. 4 (SANA) Minister of Local Administration and Environment Mohammad Anjrani announced on Friday that a new craft and industrial zone in Raqqa province will be established at the “Sahlat al-Banat” site, approximately four kilometers from Raqqa city.
In a post on the X platform, Minister Anjrani specified that the industrial zone will span between 70 and 150 hectares, housing between 2,500 and 4,000 plots.
Anjrani stated that establishing the craft and industrial zone aims to organize and develop industrial and artisanal activities in the province while ensuring necessary infrastructure and services for productive operations.
The minister highlighted that the initiative will revitalize manufacturing, expand investment opportunities, create new job openings, and reinforce Raqqa’s role in the national economy.
On Thursday, the Raqqa Governorate and the Syrian Investment Authority signed a contract with Türkiye’s Kayan Commercial Holding Group and MYB Company to establish the industrial zone during the 63rd Damascus International Fair.
